Need I say more?

Our precious little Katie-bug is having a big surgery next week Wednesday, November 19th. She is having her tonsils and adenoids out and tubes placed in her ears. She will also be having a hearing test done during surgery in order to make sure the fluid that has accumulated in her ears hasn’t caused significant hearing loss. The doctor believes there is some hearing loss, we just need to find out exactly how much (the fluid levels in her ears apparently were off the charts). She does not have hearing DAMAGE, just loss, which is totally reversible at her age. We praise God for our wonderful ENT’s wisdom in this and his being aggressive enough to get this done fast (we have only needed to wait 2 weeks for surgery).
We are praying for a safe surgery, for the tubes to correct the fluid levels in her ears and for the hearing test to surprise us and show no hearing loss.
She and I will spend the night in the hospital (she needs her surgery done at the BIG hospital downtown, not in an outpatient setting because of her age) and then if she’s fairing well, we will head home on the 20th. She will stay on strong pain medications for about 5 days because of her age (I guess some 2 year olds don’t handle this all that great….and our Katie isn’t exactly a champion for high pain tolerance). So prayer for her recovery would be appreciated too!
Thank you for your prayers! I will update as soon as we are home and settled, next Thursday, Lord-willing!
And just for fun - to make us ALL smile today, here is my little model, showing off to the camera:
